As far back as he can remember, Dr. Dennis recalls telling his mother that he didn’t want the cough syrup, or the other drugs when he got sick. When he had a fever he remembers putting on sweat pants and a sweat shirt and he would drink a large glass of water to sweat it out – and he still does that today. He knew nothing about chiropractic but had an understanding that his body is designed to heal itself. Senior Year of High School his guidance counselor showed him a video tape from Life University that was totally in line with his views on life, health, and wellness. He was so excited to see that there was a profession that didn’t concentrate on treating disease, but rather was interested in keeping the body healthy and functioning optimally. He immediately knew he was going to be a chiropractor.
Dr. Lisa became a chiropractor because another chiropractor inspired her, the chiropractor helped her baby cousin who had chronic ear infections, without the invasive surgery that the ear specialist wanted to perform. Her baby cousin had chiropractic adjustments and never had an ear infection again, simple as that. She learned how chiropractic was beneficial for everyone’s health and how people can utilize chiropractic for true health care instead of sick care.
We met at Life Chiropractic University in 2000. I saw Lisa and just knew she was the one. I showed her a lot of extra attention and eventually asked her out. In 2007 we were married in a beautiful ceremony on the beach in Belmar. We are blessed with three beautiful boys named Cole, Brett and Dean. All these years later, every member of our family get checked by the chiropractor weekly. Getting checked is our “health insurance”, our assurance that if we keep our nervous system interference free, our immune system strong we don’t need to worry about the bugs that go around.
Thanks for visiting with us today. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how we can help you achieve your individual health goals.
